Having field tested many Hori-Hori-style Garden knives, I can say with conviction that this is a "next-level" garden/foraging/camping tool. This exceptionally well-crafted knife/trowel continues to impress at every turn. A couple of factors make this tool superior to all others like it. The pommel end of the handle allows for use as a hammer in a pinch. The shape of the handle is also where they bested all others by making the top of the handle round, save the front side. For smaller hands like mine, this really cuts down on fatigue while improving precision, especially when digging. If you've ever found yourself struggling to divide an old patch of iris, hosta or daylilies, this tool will cut right through them. The wire/string cutter and bottle opener take it to yet another level. The sheath is also exceptionally well made to safely stow this tool and handle the elements and rigors of the garden, forest, desert, mountaintop or seashore. 

Like any sharp blade, this tool should be sheathed at all times when not in use. Great care should be taken when wielding, handling and storing this tool, as it is VERY sharp.
