*Update 02/03/2023: Due to rising costs, the price of our florets by the pound has gone up. In better news, we are now offering our 'Melissa' florets for sale!

Our dried Lavender florets are organically grown, harvested and processed right here at Purple Haze. We offer three varieties:

Grosso (Lavandula intermedia) is very aromatic and contains one of the highest concentrations of oil of any lavender species, making it excellent for sachets and the like. Grosso florets retain their scent for a remarkably long time.

Royal Velvet (Lavandula angustifolia) this is the lavender found in our culinary lavender tins. The beautiful, dark-purple buds are sweetly scented and excellent for all culinary applications. They also retain their color and scent for years when stored correctly.

Melissa (Lavandula angustifolia) Melissa's sweetly scented, pale-pink buds are also prized for their culinary uses. Melissa is the variety we use to create our lavender sugar. French toast, anyone?

Answers to FAQs: there are between 15-16 cups of lavender/pound, depending on the variety. Most sachets are 1/4 or 1/3 cup. One of the better ways to determine how much you may need is to use rice to approximate the volume of lavender. (this applies only to volume, not weight)

If you plan on storing your lavender florets for an extended period, we recommend transferring them to a glass jar with a lid, along with the dehumidifying packet.

Storing your dried lavender florets in a lidded glass jar away from heat and bright light will prolong their lifespan, considerably.
