These long-lasting, reusable dryer sheets are handmade by the talented and inspired Ruby Romano of RuBeads, right here in Sequim. Having conducted a bevy of tests on many recipes out there for optimum static control and fabric softening, she determined the following recipe is best:
Add 1 part baking soda to 6 parts white vinegar. Add 7-10 drops of your favorite essential oil and stir mixture well. Soak dryer sheets in solution and then ring them out and toss 2-3 in the dryer with your laundry. Wash and dry the sheets occasionally, as needed. Care should be taken to select essential oils that are clear in color.
1 side is soft flannel, the other is terry cloth. Six 4x4 squares per jar.
Add the scent of lavender (or any essential oil of your choice) to every dryer load!
